Induction Furnace Cooling System
Induction power supplies and coils reject heat into water. The catalogue cooling set includes a water chiller, an air-cooled water chiller and a closed cooling tower, matched to the machine’s water flow and to the site. Inlet water on the heating machines is generally specified below 40°C. The air-cooled LZF heating machines are the exception: their power section does not use that water circuit. For a melting furnace or a water-cooled coil, the cooling system is part of the package and should be quoted with the power supply, not added as an afterthought.
What to check before you enquire
- Matched to flow and pressure of the machine.
- Inlet water generally under 40°C.
- Closed circuit where the site water is poor.
- Quoted with the power supply.
